My Dear Fellow Grievers,
I’ve been feeling a little off lately—anxious, fidgety, like I just can’t sit still.
Do you ever get that way and wonder, "What’s going on with me?"
It took me a bit, but then it hit me—my daily meditation routine has been off – it’s been sporadic. In fact it’s been sporadic since my heart attack.
I’ve meditated for years, and it’s always helped keep me grounded, calm, and on an even keel. But lately, that routine slipped, sooo … my body and mind have been reminding me of it.
Today then, let’s talk about self-care—especially in stressful times, like when you’re grieving and managing heavy emotions.
It’s easy to let those little habits that keep us moving and grooving fall to the wayside. And these are the moments when we need them most.
I know you’re having days when you just don’t care! … That is exactly when you need to lean in and be even more vigilant.
Take a moment to check in with yourself. How are you feeling? Are there parts of your routine that have slipped—exercise, sleep, hydration, or even just taking a breath?
Now don’t go being hard on yourself if things have fallen by the wayside—trust me, I get it!
Here’s some good news: You’ll get your second wind! The care you give yourself now will help you feel more balanced and prepared to face this life that’s been thrown your way.
If it’s been too overwhelming, Reach Out For Help. Whether it’s a friend, a support group, or even a coach, sometimes we need that extra hand to help guide us back to ourselves.
I’ve put together a resource that can help you stay on top of your self-care routine during this challenging time. You can download it here
Start making self-care a priority, even on the days when it feels hard. You’ve got this!
Take care of yourself today—your future self will thank you.
Dedicated to Your Peace

P.S. If you’re looking for a simple way to start your self-care, try sitting for a few minutes today with your eyes closed and taking deep breaths. Sometimes, a few moments of stillness is all it takes to reset.
