My Dear Fellow Grievers,
My granddaughter was recently on vacation in the south. While kayaking she sent me a picture of her with a dragonfly on her shoulder that enjoyed the ride with her for a stretch.
It reminded me of a sunny day on the beach with friends enjoying the sun, the sand and a game of ladder golf.
We were joined by a dragonfly that seemed to dance around only me. On a whim I held out my finger and was amazed when it promptly landed.
What followed was pure magic. Despite attempts by others to lure it away, the dragonfly remained by me, I could take my turn in the game and then just hold out my finger for it to return.
It was as though it knew me …. like a messenger from another realm.
I felt a presence that could only be described as the essence of my beloved wife. And I knew, deep within my heart, that she was there with me, in the form of that golden winged dragonfly.
Such encounters, such signs from the universe, are treasures beyond compare.
They remind us that love transcends the boundaries of time and space, and that even in the midst of our bustling life, the ones we hold dear are never truly far away.
I love little signs like these!
To Your Peace,
Alan
